Punjab Police has published notification for the recruitment of 7416 Constable vacancies for male and female candidates in District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre on direct recruitment basis. Eligible candidates may apply online from 31-05-2016 from 09:00 a.m. to 21-06-2016

1. District Police Cadre: 4915
a. Male: 3751 Posts
b. Female: 1164 Posts
2. Armed Police Cadre: 2501
a. Male: 2501 Posts
Qualification: Candidates should possess minimum 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/ University and must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST), personality test & interview.
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs. 400/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ BC candidates through online & off Line mode. Application fee will be exempted to Ex Serviceman candidates.
